JAHM is a national month of recognition of the more than 350-year history of Jewish contributions to American culture. JAHM acknowledges the achievements of American Jews in fields ranging from sports and arts and entertainment to medicine, business, science, government and military service.
For free admission, teachers and principals will be asked to provide their name, contact information, their institution and their subject.
"We are delighted to extend this invitation to teachers and principals," said Michael Rosenzweig, president and CEO of the Museum. "This is an opportunity for educators to learn more about the Museum as they make plans for student visits to cultural institutions in the coming school year, and to gain a better understanding of American Jewish history and the opportunities our freedoms create for all Americans."
