Anderson Cooper Smacks Down 'View' Gals

The Daily Caller is reporting that CNN's Anderson Cooper has smacked down most of the "ladies" on Barbara Walters' The View because La Walter's gals were critical of the Weeper (er, Speaker) of the House John Boehner for his public sobfests.
Here's the way The Daily Caller puts it:

What’s wrong with incoming Speaker of the House John Boehner’s emotional transparency ? Nothing according to CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
On the December 14 broadcast of Cooper’s “AC 360” program, Cooper took on the objections from the women of “The View,” who with the exception of Elisabeth Hasselbeck disapproved on Boehner’s habit of crying.
“Our honor goes tonight to ‘The View’ ladies, who let me make clear, I’m a big fan of, but I was surprised and disappointed to learn that they apparently don’t like to see a grown man cry, or at least not a grown Republican politician cry,” Cooper said.. . .
According to Cooper, there is an idea that people want to see more sensitive politicians, which he argued is the role Boehner is playing.
“So he got emotional, a little teary,” Cooper continued. “I think maybe I even heard a snort in there. But aren’t people always saying they want politicians to be more real? And aren’t men always being told now that we’re supposed to be more sensitive, more vulnerable, willing to show emotions?”

Obama/Walters Falter In TV Ratings

Barack Obama is no longer a big TV draw.
And Barbara Walters is a TV has-been.
Those are the results of  the ABC broadcast last Friday that featured a Walters interview with the President and First Lady.
There was a time when an "exclusive" interview with the President -- any President -- was a Big Deal. Not any more.
In ratings, the Obamas actually came in behind a rerun of Tom Selleck's cop series, Blue Bloods. The Walters interview was third during the 10 PM time slot among the critical 18 to 49 age group.
The Blue Bloods rerun pulled in two million more viewers than the Obamas.
In the voting booth and on TV, Obama & Co. are taking a shellacking.
Chalk it up to overexposure. As I've said before, the American people are feeling Obama fatigue.
As for Walters, she should pack it in already.
